Date Night On A Weekday
Sometimes Clayton and I are so busy on the weekends that we can’t seem to squeeze in a date night. We spend many a weekend driving around shooting for the blog, running errands, and getting stuff done around the house.
Today’s post is all about those weeks where we need a date night on a weekday.
Read on to learn about my current go-to’s for a weekday date night!
Dinner For 2 By You
A home cooked meal that is made with love by both of you is pretty hard to beat.
Sometimes the last thing you want to do when you get home from a long day of work is leave the house again. So instead of heading out to get a bite to eat, cook one together.
I love cooking dinner with Clayton because we have so much fun working together. When we cook dinner together we usually try out a recipe we have never had before. This makes it even more exciting and fun.
Even if the meal doesn’t turn out perfect (because sometimes that happens with new recipes) it is still a special moment shared with your partner. It’s a great way to have an interactive date night that’s low key and easy to achieve.
Window Shopping Stroll
Another one of my favorite weekday date night ideas is a trip to the mall, or a cute strip of stores along a street.
This a great one because it actually helps you get active while enjoying some quality time with your boo. What more could you want?
Clayton and I live in walking distance to a mall. We often walk over and stroll around the mall for an hour or so. Sometimes we go to get something we’ve been eyeing, and sometimes we just go to browse and window shop. It’s always fun to leave with a special little purchase but it’s not necessary at all.
We often hit this little vegan ice cream shop on the way in or out and enjoy a treat while taking our stroll. A super simple and fun way to add a little date night to any old weekday.
Hit Up The Farmer’s Market
Clayton and I love going to Farmer’s Markets, and now that the weather is heating up they are even more enjoyable.
Going to the Farmer’s Market for a weekday date night is perfect because it allows you to get a task done while sprinkling some romance on your weekday.
We love the Farmer’s Market for all of the yummy snacks too. Testing fruits and veggies is a surprisingly fun way to hang out with your partner. This is also a great way to get outside and enjoy the weather. Even if you don’t have a Farmer’s Market in your area I suggest looking into other public events held outside on the weekdays. Live music, craft shows, whatever it may be it’s a fun and easy way to sneak in a date night!
