My First Time Trying Eyelash Extensions

Hey babes! Today’s blog post is a little different than my usual write up, but its super fun.

I’m going to be sharing a recap of my first time getting eyelash extensions. So if you’ve never tried it and you’re looking to learn more about the process, the results, and the jist of it all, read on!

Love at First Lash

So first off let me start by saying, it’s basically impossible to not love perfect looking eyelashes day in and day out.

I’ve always had the hardest time putting on strip lashes. I love the way they look but I just never had the skill to apply them flawlessly. I don’t know what it is but I always place them awkwardly and end up ruining my entire make up look, which is not cool.

What’s the solution to this problem? Eyelash extensions.

These babies give you that flawless “I woke up like this” look without any effort. All you have to do is give them a little brush and you’re out the door.

This may sound dramatic but it’s honestly cut my makeup routine in HALF as far as time goes. And that is something I absolutely love about them. I’ve kept my eye makeup looks really simple since getting the eyelash extensions and that’s saved me so much time. Because the lashes have a full, glamorous, flirty look to them I haven’t felt the need to supplement my looks with heavy eye makeup.If you’re the type of girl that especially loves more natural makeup looks with minimal effort…hello these are made for you!

A Little Bit About the Process

Before I got the eyelash extensions I always wondered what the process was like. So if you’re like me and you really didn’t know what it entails, I got you.

So basically you lay on a comfy bed for 1-2 hours and relax while your lash artist applies lashes to your natural lashes. This is done by using a special glue and placing individual lashes to each of your lashes.

Your eyes are closed the whole time so its honestly very relaxing. Jenna is one of my favorite people so we chit chatted the whole time. But if you needed to squeeze in a nap or some mediation you totally could, all while getting your lashes on point!

If you guys are looking to get your lashes done and you live in the Bay Area I highly recommend Jenna. She is so sweet, super professional, and amazing at what she does.

I cannot get enough of these lashes and how effortless they’ve made my everyday makeup routine. Overall I’d say I’m pretty obsessed. I mean how could I not be?
