Summer Forever
It might have something to do with living in Southern California but it seems like were having an endless Summer. I’m not mad about it because Summer is a fun filled season that is oh-so nostalgic. But technically this season is wrapping up – so I thought it would be fun to update you guys on how I’ll be spending these last few weeks of Summer and what I’ve got planned for Fall. Read on for more!
Summer Days, Summer Nights
As I mentioned above Summer is such a nostalgic time for me. Growing up it was obviously the best time of year because there was no school. Now that I’m in the real world I wish there was still a three month break of responsibilities etc., but in the meantime I still enjoy the long nights, beach days, and general spontaneity of Summer.
I’ve been lucky enough to meet some really awesome friends out in Orange County over the past couple of months so I’ve been spending a lot of time with them. By nature most of the friends I make these days are also bloggers, content creators, and photographers. So we spend a lot of days shooting, attending events, and so on. The photos for today’s post came from a lovely little beach day a few of us girls had earlier this week. I’ve also had a couple of fun girls nights out with a few of the babes I’ve met lately which has been so fun! But don’t worry we haven’t left our guys out of everything! 😉 Earlier this week we started a new thing called Duffy Dates which is basically a group date night on a duffy boat – so fun! Nothing beats those leisurely Summer nights spent chatting with friends, eating some yummy food, and exploring a bit on the water. It’s been such a blessing to find such a nice group of friends. I’m truly grateful.
Heading Into Fall
Although I love Summer I think Fall is my all time favorite season. I love everything about it – the cooler (but not cold) weather, the fashion, the holidays, and the changing of season. Now that I live in Laguna Beach I don’t think I’m going to see much of change in scenery all year long – but at least the weather is beautiful. I will also be traveling back home to Reno in the Fall where I can count on the leaves and the weather to change.
As far as Fall plans go I’m excited for some upcoming travels. The biggest and most important being New York Fashion week at the beginning of September. This will be our second year going and we are thrilled! But until that transition I will be savoring these last few moments of Summer. Which means beach days, crop tops and shorts, and all the casual hangs. Although Summer is still a busy time of year I feel like Fall really gets crazy. So before that storm hits I’m going to bathe in the sun of Summer and embrace all of the Summer things.
