Fall Fashion
Living in Southern California is a dream because the weather is always beautiful, but it makes it a little bit tricky to start embracing the seasonal trends as it’s relatively warmer here year round. Because of this dilemma I’ve been a little late to the Fall fashion game. Of course I’m loving all of the trends but it hasn’t been cool enough for me to wear most of them yet. Luckily over the past week or so it’s cooled down to mid sixties so I decided to take the opportunity to share a few of my favorite styling tricks for this season! Read on for more! 🙂
Skirt Slits
Now that the cooler months are upon us (or just about for SoCal) it’s time to bust out the longer skirts and dresses. Don’t get me wrong I love rocking mini skirts, mini dresses, and even shorts + boots in the Fall. But I also think it’s the perfect opportunity to rock a longer skirt or dress as well. However I don’t love long skirts and dresses as is. Maxi dresses and or skirts usually make me feel way too bohemian or like I’m drowning in fabric since I’m only 5’4″. I’ve found that if I wear skirts with high slits I like the overall vibe much better. Not only does it make the look a little more edgy and flirty, but it also helps add length and mobility to the look. I’m all in for both.
For today’s look I paired this floral printed maxi skirt by Reformation with this white long sleeve bodysuit. I’ve been obsessed with this skirt ever since I got it. Pretty much everything from Reformation is a dream come true, but I’m especially in love with this piece because I think it will match everything. From chunky sweaters, graphic tees, bodysuits and more I can’t wait to put this piece to use!
Boot Season
No true Fall look is complete without a pair of boots right? I’ve had an obsession with boots for my entire life so you can bet I can’t wait to break them out each Fall. I wear boots and booties pretty much all year long, but I love being able to pull them out for nearly every look each Fall. One trend that is hot every year is the over the knee boots. For today’s look I added in an over the knee slouch boot for a relaxed but sexy touch! I think they were the perfect piece to tie the entire look together!
Added Pieces
Aside from the main pieces – boots and skirt I added in a few must have accessories. To tie in the black boots I added in my bucket bag by Gucci, which pretty much goes with everything! I also added in adorable hat by Lack of Color to add another Fall touch. I’ve been LOVING hats at the moment and I am truly obsessed with the shape and color of this one! Although my boots and bag are black the neutral tone of the hat came together perfectly with the look! I also added in a few of my favorite gold necklaces by Julz Junkie and a watch by MVMT to add some pizazz to the look.
What trends will you be rocking this Fall? I’d love to hear!

You are 😍 so beautiful
Thank you Gigi miss and love you! Xo
Hey Delaney!
First off, obsessed with you and your blog and all your outfits! When I shop, you are literally always the first blogger I go to before I purchase !
Love this combo you have going on. I live in Toronto and unfortunately the weather is pretty cold so it’s hard to wear this kind of fall outfit.
For fall, right now I’m really into cropped flare jeans/ pants and plaid. I literally can’t get enough. For shoes, im loving the combat books and chunky dad sneaker.
Currently trying to find a winter coat….it gets so cold here but there’s so many options!
Anyway, thanks for being awesome, keep doing what you’re doing !!!

Hi Alex,
Thanks so much for sharing! I bet it is beautiful in Toronto right now! I’ve never been but I would love to come experience the Fall there. I’m also loving the dad sneaker trend! 🙂 Thanks for sharing and thanks for your support babe! Stay warm! Xoxo
