Hi babes! I’m so excited to share today’s post sharing two fun hairstyles I’ve been loving with my clip in Luxy hair extensions! I’m still a newbie to hair extensions but I’ve been having so much fun exploring new styles and experimenting! If you’re new to clip ins like me and have short hair you can check out this blog post on Luxy’s site to help get the hang of things! Today’s styles are two of my current favs. They are so fun and flirty and also really easy. Let’s get to it!
The Half Up
If you guys have been here for a while you know I love half up hairstyles. I love that they are playful and flirty and I think they look so cute on everyone. I’ve been doing them with my short haircut for a while, but I’m so glad I tried out this style with my Luxy extensions as well because it is SO CUTE!
For this style I clip most of the wefts into the lower half of my hair which is honestly a huge time saver. For both of today’s looks I’m mixing Ash Blonde from the classic collection (220 grams) and Platinum Blonde from the Seamless collection (180 grams). Both are also custom dyed and trimmed! Anyways, once I’ve clipped in the majority of the wefts to the lower half of my hair I clip in a few smaller wefts upside down to the half pony portion of my hair. So to clarify the clips will be pointing up rather than down when you clip them in. This creates a seamless effect for when you pull this section of your hair up into the pony. From here I just secure the half pony and fluff my hair up a bit and add in some extra loose curls where need be! 🙂
I love this style and I think it’s perfect for date night or a night out with your friends. It would also be great for everyday wear!

Space Buns
This next look is pretty similar in execution to the half up look. As before I clip most of the extensions into the lower half of my hair and a few upside down on the top portion. I also keep the same loose waves throughout this hairstyle as I find it to be the best styling to blend the extensions.
Once you’ve clipped in the majority of the hair to the lower half and curled it you will begin sectioning off your top half into two sections split evenly down the middle. From here I take some bobby pins and simply start spinning around the hair (1 of the 2 sections at a time, real hair and clip ins mixed together for the portion of hair you’re spinning). I am relatively lax and messy about this as I like the effect of somewhat undone buns. I start securing different areas of the bun with bobby pins and pull out strays where necessary for that undone look. I also leave out some bangs in the front to help frame the face.
This look is so fun and is perfect for festivals, party looks, concerts etc.!
