Although I don’t work in an office setting I actually love workwear fashion. Growing up I would always play “work” in my room so I’ve always a had fascination with the “work world.” I would imagine it could be a bit challenging to fully express yourself through fashion in the work place – but I don’t think that doesn’t mean you can’t still have some fun and be stylish while at the workplace. Today I’ll be sharing 3 fun and easy tips that can really spice up your workwear!
Don’t Be Afraid To Accessorize
I talk about this a lot with styling in general. Accessorize is one of the best ways to really bring a look together and add some pizazz to the whole thing. Especially in an environment like the workplace I feel it’s important to use that opportunity to squeeze in some flare and make your outfit more ‘you’ and more styled.
I love dressing up a look with jewelry. I think a chic necklace stack is a great way to spice up an office look. I also love throwing on some bold but simple rings, a nice stack of bracelets, and a watch. Wearing a timepiece in the workplace always just seems so fitting to me. Statement earrings is another fun way to tie together the look and have some fun.
Think outside the box when accessorizing too. Lately I’ve been obsessed with headbands. Adding in a pop of texture, color, or pattern with a hairpiece is a great way to elevate the look. Berets, clips, and pins are also a great way to spice up your hair and have some fun with your professional look.

A nice bag is a great way to add in some flare to your look as well. You can pick up some really cute work friendly bags in almost any retail store. And if you’re looking to invest – a designer handbag is always a fun little accessory to add into your office look!

Blazers are IT
I honestly think that blazers are one of THE most versatile items you can have in a wardrobe. They suit nearly every occasion. From workwear, street style, events and more blazers will never do you wrong!
I personally love an oversized blazer as it always gives a nice edgy vibe and proportionally I like the shape it creates. They are a great piece to throw on over a more form fitting look – like this iconic Zara bodysuit I’ve styled today. They can also be belted to create a more cinched look. You can pair a belted blazer with faux leather leggings, tights, or trousers as well.

A more tailored blazer is much more classic and might suit your workplace better. These are great to add in to a business casual look. I often wear a tailored blazer with dark wash jeans, a tucked in t shirt, booties, and some accessories for casual business events, meetings, and more. They also work well to layer over a dress or a skirt and a turtle neck. Wether you decided to go boxy or tailored a blazer will make your look chic, fun, and stylish. You absolutely need one in your closet!
P.s. pro tip: blazers are great to thrift or pick up in the mens section!

Let The Shoes Do the Talking
Step your shoe game up for the work place! If there’s one thing you can spice up and have some fun with – let it be your shoes. Shoes can make such a statement and really add some flare to an otherwise boring fit.
Comfort might be key for some of you at work, but if it’s not and you spend a lot of the day sitting I’d have some fun with some cute heels. Or if you are on your feet a lot there is definitely some comfy but cute heels out there that can get the job done. Statement booties are also a great option to achieve this style.
Over the past couple of months the trend of lacing up strappy heels over trousers/pants has been huge. I myself am a huge fan of this trend. I think it’s so fun, innovative, and really chic! There is closed toed and open toed options for for strappy heels that will make your fit extra fun and stylized.
