I Can Already Hear The Wedding Bells
Wedding season is right around the corner! As I’ve gotten older I’ve received more and more invites to weddings over the years. It’s sometimes crazy to think that my own friends are now getting married, but its a wonderful thing as well. I also love wedding season because it’s a great excuse to get all dolled up and wear something a little extra special! For me personally, weddings are also a prime opportunity to wear a style that I probably wouldn’t normally opt for. On a day to day basis my style is neither girly or formal so it’s the perfect time for me to incorporate both into a look!
The Look
For today’s look I’ve partnered up with Shein. This amazing floral skirt is a PERFECT piece to wear to a wedding, or another formal spring/summer event. One of the things that really drew me to this skirt was how classy it looked. We all know that you want to look your best when attending a wedding, but it’s top priority to look classy and chic, and not as if you’re trying to upstage or outdo the bride. Not that that’s necessarily possible anyways, but you don’t want to look as if you’ve tried! Sometimes an elegant and simple black dress with a little sex appeal is good, depending on the wedding style and the venue. But for the most part you want to look pretty reserved and formal when attending a wedding. At least that’s how I feel.
A Skirt Made For Wedding Season
This skirt embodied everything I wanted to achieve when styling an outfit for a wedding. It is fun and flirty with its beautiful floral pattern. But it is also chic and classy with it’s fuller silhouette and its tea length hem. I decided to pair it with a simple solid crop. I went with a crop top because the skirt is very much so high-wasted. It would also look great with a loose cami tucked in. A neutral solid is best for this skirt since it has a lot going on. I also threw on a pair of nude pumps and a nude choker to tie the look together. I didn’t have a purse or a clutch, but either would pair beautifully with this look.
The best part of this whole look is how affordable it is! Everything combined is under 100 dollars, and each piece is unique yet versatile. This crop top pairs well with pretty much everything. Nude pumps are an essential and compliment so many styles. The choker is one of my all time favorite accessories. And lastly I think this skirt is great for a multitude of looks and occasions. Easter, brunch, horse races, baby showers, whatever it may be. If you are wanting to feel classy and chic this skirt is a must!
