Creative Closet
This weekend I got the opportunity to express myself in a creative way while collaborating with another artist in the Bay Area. It’s extremely near and dear to my heart to be able to express myself through many different forms of creative expression. As we all know I love to put a unique spin on my wardrobe like I have done with today’s blog look. But I also love being able to collaborate on any and all types of projects with others that have an artistic or visionary expression in mind.
Today’s blog look is definitely bold and out there. I decided to pair fishnets with wide open distressed jeans, a bomber jacket, some Adidas sneakers, and a sports bra. I was feeling both sassy and sporty and this is what came of it. This may not be something that everyone would want to throw on, but that’s not the point. The point is to be daring and bold with your wardrobe if thats how you’re feeling. I never feel like I need to follow rules or traditions when I’m getting dressed and that makes it a lot easier for me to express myself creatively so I encourage others to take the leap and do the same.
Creative Projects and Collaborations
The artist who I was able to connect with and create with is named Koby Einstein. He is a photographer in the Bay Area. It can seem a little risky and peculiar to meet up with someone who you literally have met on the internet via social media. But it’s actually such a beautiful thing in my opinion. My boyfriend and I met up with Koby yesterday in San Fransisco and we hit 5 pretty iconic locations, all while getting to know each other, exploring, and creating art that wouldn’t otherwise exist.
I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to meet amazing people like Koby. My boyfriend and I were both super impressed with Koby’s artistic skills and his sweet and gentle personality. He was so kind and easy going and we felt so blessed walking away from that experience that we were able to meet Koby and make some art with him!
Koby had also mentioned that he had a tendency to be shy and photography has really helped him break that barrier down. I can totally relate to this. Especially as a creative. Sometimes its hard for people to understand your vision or why you are so passionate about something like fashion, or photography, or music or anything else. And this makes you feel a little reserved about sharing your passions and being super social.
But Koby and I both agreed that it was an amazing experience to be able to interact and collaborate with other artists. So wether you are passionate about drawing, photography, dance, or anything else…I encourage you to take the steps to fully grow into your best self and express your passions. Wear the clothes you want to wear, no matter how funky. And reach out to the creatives you know of and try to connect and create! It will never exist if you don’t bring it to life. 🙂
P.S. I don’t have the photos back from Koby yet but stay tuned on Instagram and I will share his awesome work!
