Hi friends! I wanted to create this living document as a place to highlight and organize important topics and issues going on in our world. As I’m sure we all know there is a lot of things going on and there always has been. Since I myself am not an expert or a qualified educator on any of these topics I’ve decided to create this document to highlight voices, organizations and resources of expertise. Please also note these resources are supplied by my audience – aka you guys. With that being said I encourage each of you to do your own research on if these resources are the right ones for you. this is not a comprehensive or complete list by any means as that is generally impossible to achieve. However it is a great starting point for ways to get educated, involved, and in the know in addition to staying tuned into your favorite news sources and organizations.

PRISONERS LITERATURE PROJECT
PLP is a volunteer-run grassroots organization that sends books to incarcerated folks throughout the United States. PLP believes that everyone deserves the right to read and therefore, we send books to incarcerated folks who otherwise would not be able to (most prisons don’t have libraries with anything besides a Bible). PLP responds to book requests mailed in by incarcerated folks and we try to send them the book they requested (or as close to it as possible). The most requested book is actually a dictionary! A large amount of incarcerated folks have minimal educational backgrounds and having these books not only helps educate them, but also provides a sense of solace in an otherwise destitute situation.
