On To A New Chapter
In two days time my boyfriend Clayton and I will set out on a new adventure. Our U-Haul will be packed to the brim with all of our belongings, our hearts will be heavy yet excited, and the road will lead us to Laguna Beach California. I never really thought of myself as the gypsy type, in fact, I thought I would live in my hometown my whole life. Yet quite the opposite is proving to be true. So here I am again, setting off for a new town, a new journey, and the hopes for many special experiences. If you want to hear all the ins and outs of this transition keep reading.
Farewell For Now
Saying goodbye is always hard. Wether it’s to a place, a time, or a person…it leaves you with some kind of longing feeling. I’ve lived in the Bay Area for about a year and a half now and I am truly grateful for my time here. I’ve met some of the most amazing people, and I’ve grown so much as a creative and as an individual. Like I mentioned above I never thought I’d leave my hometown, and the Bay Area has taught me otherwise. I’ve learned how to reach out, build community, and step into unknown places with an open heart. The Bay will always hold a special place in my heart and I am truly saddened to leave this amazing community. However, I know the world has so much to offer in all of its corners and I am beyond excited to explore but another one of those corners.
P.s. what a blessing to have my best friend by my side for all of these adventures! This guy makes everything more fun and I wouldn’t want to embark on this journey with anyone else!
New Places New Growth
I’m kind of obsessed with the idea of new places. There is just something so magical and enticing about the unknown. And don’t get me wrong, it scares me. But I let that fear fuel me and push me, not deter me. (Or at least try my best to!)
Overcoming fears and pushing myself outside of my comfort zone allows me to grow in ways I would’ve never thought possible. I’m sad to leave this chapter of my life. It’s hard to say goodbye to a familiar and comfortable lifestyle. But it’s necessary for me. This is how I want to live my life. I want to constantly explore new places, create new experiences, and open my mind to the possibilities of each new adventure. I know I love my hometown, I know I love the Bay Area, but I’m not sure where else I love yet and I’m excited to go figure it out. Theres so much to see, so much to experience, and so much to love about this world. And that is why I’m moving.
Are any of you embarking on a new adventure this year? Wether it be moving, traveling to a new place, trying a new job? I’d love to hear about it. Let me know in the comments below or DM me on Instagram!
