How fun is this jean jumper? I love this piece because it reminds me of my childhood or perhaps just childhood in general. It makes me feel young and vibrant and playful. It is simple and cute without being uncomfortable or too daring. It is something that is easy to throw on and have fun in. Even as a very young child I was passionate about my wardrobe and I would imagine this is a piece I would’ve liked then as much as I like it now. I am also loving the bandana trend that is currently happening. It is such an easy accessory to throw on and its very versatile as well. A typical necklace that I might pair with this look would be much more feminine so I figured why not spice it up and add a little more masculine and edgier vibe to this look? I actually end up getting tons of my fashion inspirations from unexpected places like children, artwork, history, and music to name a few.I like to think of myself as a sponge absorbing all things around me and transforming them into inspiration in some form or another. When I walk through stores I pull inspiration from the children’s clothes or the men’s section. Although these clothes are technically not designed for someone like me there are certain things about these clothes that get me feeling inspired and motivated to translate the components into my own wardrobe. This form of inspiration allows me to expand my perspective and come up with outfit ideas that I would not have otherwise thought of. Which leads me to think that many facets of my life can be influenced in this way. There is meaning and significance to be taken from situations that may not necessarily strike us as meaningful and significant at first. A smile shared with a stranger on the train could be treated as a simple gesture that you will forget about in a matter of minutes, or you can treat it as a reminder that the world becomes a better, happier, more peaceful place when we share small gestures like a smile with a stranger. I believe that all experiences have a lesson waiting for us on the other side if we treat them as such. Of course this is just a personal choice to look at things this way. But for me this is a productive, creative, inspiring way to experience all the events of my life. So next time you’re walking through the department store take note of some of the other sections and try to get some inspiration from them. Or even better, next time someone tests your patience or pushes your buttons…try your hardest to open your mind to a new way of looking at this experience and turn it into something that makes you better. Try to let it teach you instead of torment you. Happy Sunday, enjoy!
