Life Update
If you didn’t already know, my boyfriend Clayton and I up and moved from the Bay Area to Orange County a little over a month ago. And if you’ve been keeping up with me on my Instagram you’ve probably noticed that I love it! I mean it’s pretty hard not to love beautiful weather, the beach, etc. For today’s post I’m going to share some of my favorite parts of my new lifestyle with you guys. Read on for more!
Beachin’ It
Like I mentioned above, if you’ve been keeping up with me on Instagram you’ve probably noticed that we’ve been spending a lot of time at the beach. We are blessed enough to live in walking distance to the beach so we try to go at least once a day every day.
Clayton gets home from work around sunset each day and we usually head down to the beach to soak it all up, chit chat about our day, and spend some time with nature. It’s such an amazing way to end the day and I am so grateful for it. We also hit the beach every weekend. Wether it be for a run, a quick swim, or another sunset. It’s been so much fun to have access to such a beautiful place and I’ve seriously benefited from it in so many ways.
A Community That Hasn’t Disappointed
Although we’ve only been here for a little over a month I’ve already met so many amazing people. The cool thing about the OC is the proximity to LA as well as San Diego. I’ve been able to meet so many creatives, business women, and friends between the two areas.
It’s also been a great way for me to network and explore more work-wise. Being in proximity to LA has opened up so many opportunities for me which has been so exciting. I feel beyond blessed to be in a position where I can accomplish my dreams, and I truly can’t wait to see what is to come!
Thriving With the Vibe
Back when we lived in the Bay Area we lived about 45 minutes out of the city (San Francisco) in the East Bay suburbs. It was a nice area and all – super safe clean etc. but I’m not gonna lie it was extremely boring. It’s basically a bedroom community designed for raising a family. This obviously wasn’t our vibe and it was hard to feel excited about our town.
Now that we live in the OC there is so much more for us to do. If we want to hop in the car for an hour or so and go experience the buzz of LA it’s no problem at all. But my favorite part of our new hood is the fact that we can also literally walk out our front door and have boat loads of fun. Now that we live in Laguna theres tons of cute restaurants, shops, bars etc. This has improved our quality of life so much. It definitely feels like a better fit to be living in a younger, more vibrant environment. It has inspired us, excited us, and given us so many fun memories already. Needless to say we are stoked on our new home – stay tuned for all of the future OC adventures to come! Xx
