Times Are Changing
Today was an interesting day for America…to say the least. To say a little more, today was a really hard day for me. It was hard for me to process and accept the decisions of my country today. I wasn’t excited, I wasn’t happy, and I honestly was filled with anxiety and fear for most of the day. This was a terrible feeling. I was deeply saddened and worried for the peace and well being of the world. And I still am. But I was starting to spiral into a dark place that I didn’t want to become too embedded in. This is how I knew it was time to redirect my attention and my energy to things that I love, so that I am able to stay positive through this time of change.
Do What YOU Love
I love all of the things that I have been a part of lately. I have been able to connect, collaborate, laugh, and love with so many people I never had access to before I moved to California and joined the blogging/influencer world. I’ve been able to express myself creatively and passionately without fear of judgment or critique. I live in a country, and more specifically a state, and even more specifically a community that has wide open arms. The Bay Area is full of love and acceptance and diversity. And this is something I LOVE. It has opened my heart wider than I ever imagined and it has made me feel powerful and hopeful in the best of ways.
And although today was hard for me and the outcome went in the opposite direction of my hopes… I am going to keep doing my thing and spreading love. I am going to keep blogging about fashion, and life, and love. I’m going to keep connecting with outstanding, diverse, creative, accepting individuals that populate my area. I’m going to keep going with all of this love and this passion so that the good in us becomes stronger. I won’t let my sadness defeat me and my purpose. I’m going to keep loving every race, every gender, ever class, every person with a disability without ever thinking twice no matter who is in the White House. And I would encourage you all to do the same no matter your political preference.
So please don’t forget to keep being a little extra kind and a little extra determined to make the world a better place. We can still be who we want to be and love as much as we want to love. No amount of hate can ever take that away.

Love this post about love! And you are beautiful!
Thank you! Love you
So beautifully put! I agree. Each of us individually bringing the love has to be more powerful than one man sitting in Washington.
Absolutely. I love hearing from people who feel the same way and are spreading the love. Gives me all the hope I need. Xoxo. Thanks for stopping by!
