Fitness Series Continued
Today’s post is the final installation for my mini fitness series. Did you guys like this series? I’d love to know!
Anyways to end the series I’m sending you off with my favorite ab exercises because who doesn’t want abs? Also I’ve decided to team up with K-Deer to give y’all an amazing giveaway! Read on for the details!
Ab Edition
Like I said before, doesn’t everyone want abs? I know I always did. For a while I had the hardest time developing my abs, but over eventually I learned what worked best for me and eventually my abs started peaking through! Below I’ll share my tips and tricks for makin abs!
Tips & Tricks
My #1 tip for developing your abs is to add in some cardio. Ever since I started running 3-4 times a week my abs have become so much more noticeable. Also when training abs I always try to keep a mixture of upper and lower ab engaging moves to make everything nice and toned!
P.s. if you’re really trying to kick your abs into gear visit this website everyday for a daily ab workout!
Ab Workout
Here are a few of my favorite ab exercises!
1. Butterfly Crunches 15 x 3
These are a great way to engage your lower abs (one of the hardest areas to target!) They aren’t insanely difficult or complicated either, so pump out as many as you see fit, the more the merrier!
Here is a video of how to perform this exercise.
2. Reverse Crunches 20 x 3
Instead of doing the normal boring version of crunches switch it up and do it backwards. I know it sounds kind of silly, and if it’s your first time doing it, it will feel silly, but it really works! Whenever you reverse an exercise it works different muscles, this way you target all the areas!
Here is a video of how to perform this exercise.
3. Bicycle Crunches 20 x 3
These are a great way to engage your obliques while still working out the rest of your abs as well. They are pretty easy to do so feel free to keep going for reps if you can!
Here is a video of how to perform this exercise.
4. Russian Twists 30 x 3
These are also great for engaging the obliques. Try to keep your tail bone balanced on the floor as you go from side to side. These burn super bad, so if you need to do less that’s fine, and if you can do more, that’s great!
Here is a video of how to perform this exercise.
5. Plank 1 minute x 3
The age old plank…it sucks but it works. The plank is great because it engages your entire core and tests your endurance. If you can’t get a full minute push for 45 seconds or even 30. Make sure to keep your body flat, don’t let your booty drop or rise up. Squeeze your abs the whole time!
Here is a video of how to perform this exercise.
Like I mentioned above, cardio is the best way to get your abs to come out and play! So after doing all of these exercises make sure you’re adding in some cardio. I try to run 1-2 miles 3-4 days a week, but anything will work!
