Surround Yourself With People Who Inspire You
Lately I’ve been feeling so blessed to work with/know so many inspiring people. One of the blessing of social media is that it can really connect you to people you would otherwise never have the chance of meeting. Because I work in a creative market, I am able to meet so many talented, amazing, creative individuals that inspire me on the reg. And I have to say, there are definitely people in my life who I haven’t met through social media that also inspire me.
From family and friends, loved ones, and colleagues I feel beyond blessed to call these people my circle. And because of them I am able to accomplish so much more. We are stronger together than we are apart. This saying really comes into play when you are fulfilling a dream. Without the support and the inspiration these people provide to me, I would have a much harder time trucking along to accomplish my dreams.
Lean On Me & I’ll Lean On You
An important thing to remember about your circle and these relationships is that it’s give and take. Sometimes you’re the one who needs a pick me up (or a fire lit under your bum) and sometimes you’re the one who is doing the cheering on, the pep talks, and the encouraging. This is an important dynamic that allows you to feel safe and comfortable around these people. You are there for each other and that is beyond powerful.
And to be honest, sometimes nobody needs a pep talk or a pick me up. Sometimes you are both feeling like bad asses who can conquer anything. And this is a prime time for success and motivation as well. Like I said before, we are stronger together than on our own. When you put two minds together that are feeling inspired and empowered, your’e basically unstoppable. So wether you’re perking up one another or tackling every road block with ease don’t forget that you can count on these people on your best day and your worst day!
The Power of Connection
Although some parts of social media can be annoying or even destructive, as I mentioned before, the beautiful part of it is the connections that can be made. And like all connections, in order to make a genuine and meaningful one, you have to allow yourself to be open. Over the course of my blogging career I have been able to meet so many amazing people.
Sometimes it seems crazy/weird to go meet these people that you don’t know at all. Social media connections in real life can be a bit like a blind date. But as long as you are safe and smart (I can do an in depth-post on this later) and go with an open heart, you will be amazed at the relationships and connections you will make. Your social/work related circle will grow and you will be inspired and touched by the unique individuals you will meet.
I can honestly say I have met people through this way that have become like family to me. I know that sounds cheesy, but I am not joking. The universe has a funny way of bringing you to exactly who/what you need in your life. So keep an open heart and mind and allow your circle to grow and inspire you and those around you.
