Weekend Fun
Happy Monday friends! Clayton and I were lucky enough to spend this weekend in the Bay Area visiting both sides of our families! We kept busy all weekend long – mingling, shooting, and exploring around various parts of the Bay Area. Today I’ll be sharing a little recap of our trip as well as this perfect travel outfit!
The Agenda
Usually when Clayton and I do trips we try to squeeze in as many things as possible to each trip. Even when it’s just a quick weekend trip we basically try to hit every bird with one stone. When I flew in Friday morning I drove out to Livermore to see one of my best friends for a quick brunch date before getting my microblading touch up. There’s no better way to start off you weekend than having a day date with your bestie followed by some pampering. Although microblading isn’t exactly relaxing it’s still a beauty treatment so it counts! 😉 If any of you are looking to get microblading done you should definitely check out Ashton of Lux Brow Studio. She is amazing and so sweet! I’m so happy with my brows and I would recommend her to anyone!
From here we spent the next two days squeezing in as much family/friend time as possible while still getting our work done. We had a great time cooking some home-made meals with Clayton’s family and enjoying their new house in Napa. Our mingling festivities took us to Sonoma, which was really my first time exploring the quaint town. I was so charmed by its character and vibe – I will definitely be going back soon! 🙂
We get to see Clayton’s family almost every time we go to the Bay Area because they live there, but this weekend was extra special because we got to visit with my family as well. They took a mini trip down from Reno to celebrate my older brother’s bday and catch a Giants vs. A’s baseball game. It was my grandparents first time at a MLB game so it was such a special thing to share with them. Clayton is also a huge A’s fan so he had a great time cheering on his boys who snagged the win. Needless to say we felt so blessed to be able to see both of our crews and spend some quality time with them! 🙂
Fit Made For Travel
For Sunday’s game day/travel fit I had to keep it comfy and casual. I’ve been loving the cycling shorts trend lately as it’s super cute and comfortable. It’s also very wearable and versatile. I love pairing them with crop tops, oversized sweatshirts, matching sets, jean jackets, etc.
For today’s look I went with this sheer metallic oversized tee by duo by Cosabella. It comes with an undergarment which is so convenient. It has a green-ish/gold tint to it so I felt like it was perfect to represent the A’s without having to wear an actual A’s shirt – lol. Since San Fransisco is notoriously chilly and fickle with the weather I added in this adorable puffer jacket by Tiger Mist. I’m seriously obsessed with the cropped fit and cozy feel – so cute! I was also excited to get to wear it as it’s been blazing hot in SoCal lately. To finish off the look I kept it extra boyish and casual – you know me. 😉 These Fila sneakers are a go-to for comfort and style and were perfect for all the walking. I also added in my current favorite backpack purse from Forever21 as well as a pair of sunnies from ASOS. It was the perfect outfit for the game and the travel afterward! 🙂
