Street Style Chic
If you guys haven’t noticed by now I love to mix and match different styles, eras, and flavors into all of my looks. Being able to express yourself through fashion is a beautiful thing and I happen to want to express a lot of different moods all the time – clearly. For today’s look I’m going to share how I merged street style with chic style. Read on for more!
Chic Pieces
I like to start off a look like this with a “chic piece.” For example the base of this particular outfit was these plaid culottes from River Island (who by the way has the best pieces from chic to edgy to downright gorgeous, so don’t forget to check them out!). I was really excited about these trousers because they fit is perfect. I’ve got a handful of pants from River Island and they all fit so nicely! They are form fitting but not too snug and the high waisted cut with the belt detail makes them too cute.
However I didn’t want the look to come out overwhelmingly preppy or too work like either. That is of course where the other pieces come into play!
Street Style Ad Ons
Here’s the fun part – making the look all your own with some edgy, fun, street style pieces. For me I can hardly help myself to throw on a faux leather jacket with every look. And of course I opted for a fun graphic tee because they are my favorite. From there I added in some pops of red. All my accessories were red including my lipstick. This makes the look fun and flirty but still cohesive.

I love this styling! You definitely edged up the pants, and the pops of red were the perfect extra touch!
