City Kids For The Week
Hi guys! As you may have seen on my Instagram stories over the past few weeks my boyfriend (photographer) Clayton and I are heading to New York Fashion Week and we couldn’t be more excited! We just landed in NYC today and we are ready to start our week full of adventure!
I’ve actually only been to NYC once before a few years back so I’m super excited to come explore from a new perspective. It’s also my first Fashion Week experience so I’m really looking forward to learning all about it. I’m expecting lots of inspiration out of this trip, some new insight on the industry as a whole, and of course some timeless memories. It’s also Clayton’s first time in the Big Apple so that’s extra exciting!
Our Big Adventure
I’m feeling so blessed that I’m able to take this opportunity and enjoy it with my number one partner in crime. Not to get too sappy on this post – but in the last year or so of creating the blog and navigating our way through the industry we definitely did not expect to be doing what we are doing today. We are so lucky and so excited and it has only motivated and inspired us to dream bigger! But aside from the emotional excitement we also have a lot of work to do while we’re here and I plan on filling you in on all of that in my upcoming blog posts!
Our schedule for the week is jam packed with events, shows, and meetings. However we still plan on doing some tourist-y sight seeing stuff as well. I wanted to take you all on this adventure with us so we will be vlogging the whole trip which will be up on my YouTube channel in the coming weeks!
Today’s Look
Aside from the NYFW jitters I have I also wanted to share this adorable Pre-Fall look with you guys. I received these amazing boots last week from Freebird by Steven and I just had to wear them right away (twice – stay tuned for the next look)! The detail and unique design that’s put into each pair of Freebird shoes is just incredible. I absolutely love all of their designs. They are always a statement pair of shoes but without being too over the top. Paired with this playful rust hued shift dress by Free People made for the perfect Pre-Fall look. Free People always has amazing designs full of detail and unique elements as well. This dress pair perfectly with knee high boots and would also look great cozied up with a scarf, beanie, or cozy socks. Can you tell my brain is on Fall fashion?
Anyways, I just wanted to do a quick check in before I get swallowed up in the chaos and excitement of this weeks festivities. Hope you enjoyed this look and keep up with me on my Instagram stories all week for real time adventures! Xx
