Sunglasses are one of my most essential accessories, and summer brings the best trends (IMO). Social distancing doesn’t exactly have us beach-bound, but we are spending more time in our backyards and going on walks. And you never really need a reason to pick up new accessories. So I wanted to share with you guys my favorite sunglass trends that have been catching my eye!
Tiny frames
Micro-sunglasses are getting a little bit bigger and more angular this year. You might’ve seen a pair in a few of my Instagram posts! I’ve been loving the look of acetate frames like this one.
Granny glasses
This summer isn’t all about micro glasses! Grandma-styled glasses are making a statement with their retro vibe. Think of warm tones, classic tortoiseshell, square shapes, and oversized frames (like this pair!). I love the little modern take on vintage!
Geometric shapes
Bold and fun-shaped frames are pushing your classic aviators and cat eyes to the side. And they’re making room for triangle, hexagon, and octagon-shaped frames like this one!
Flat-top frames
Flat-top frames (like this one!) give any pair of sunglasses a sporty vibe. It’s the perfect pair to grab whenever you step out in loungewear.
Tinted lenses
Tinted sunglasses have been trending for the past few seasons, but instead of more sporty styles, this summer is seeing more futuristic shapes. Like this blue exaggerated cat-eye. Yellow lenses like this one are also having a moment!
White frames
White is just as classic and neutral as black. But it just stands out a little bit more. Grab your favorite style – cat-eye, oversized, or dainty metal frames – in a clean white tone that’ll brighten up your look.
