Layering is my jam. For as long as I can remember layering has been one of my favorite ways to piece looks together and express myself through fashion. It’s one of the easiest ways to add some interest to a look, wether you’re going for big and bold or simple and chic – layering is always appropriate! For today’s post I’ll be sharing a few of my favorite and most used layering style tips. Read on for more.
Bodysuit Layers
If you’ve been following my personal style for a while you know I’m a BIG fan of layering bodysuits under and especially over other pieces. During the cooler months I opt for layering bodysuits over turtle necks, light sweaters and other long sleeve tops. And for the warmer months (don’t mind me I’m clearly pretending it’s already Spring) I usually pair bodysuits with plain t-shirts and graphic tees like I’ve done for today’s look. This has become one of my most used and loved ways to style a casual or dressy look. The use of layers instantly adds more interest. I also love that the delicate lace adds a bit of a sultry but edgy vibe to the look.
I’ve collected so many lace bodysuits over the past couple of months as I’ve become obsessed with this style. I would definitely say it’s a wardrobe staple for me. I get so many questions on where I buy my lace bodysuits so I figured I’d do a round up for you guys! P.s. I always order a size small, and it fits great even though I’m well endowed in the chest area for any of you babes curious about that!

Layering Boots Year Round
Boots have always been my preferred style of shoe. From over the knee, to bootie, to anything in between – I’ve always been obsessed with boots. I find them to be an ultra comfortable and flattering shoe choice for almost any outfit. I try to style boots into my looks nearly all year long. For the cooler months I like to rock booties with a lot of things but I also like to layer OTK boots over pieces like I did in today’s look. It’s bit more bold than a pair of booties, but I love that and I have so much fun with it. It might seem out of the ordinary to tuck your pants into your boots, but I encourage you to try it for a new take on things! It also looks great with shorter/chunkier boots (think mid calf) and utilitarian style outfits like jumpsuits!

Accessorize to the Max
Adding layers of accessories is by no means a new styling trick. It’s the classic way to compliment an outfit and add some more styling to the look. However, it can be fun and innovative to add a few *extra* layers of accessories. For example, in today’s look I opted for not one, but two belts. Crazy right? It’s obviously not necessary on any practical level but it’s so fun and chic.I actually picked up this trick from a few super chic and trendy European bloggers I follow.
Don’t be shy with your jewelry when accessorizing either. A stacked set of bangles + a watch is a perfect and simple way to up your arm candy game for any look. I also love loading on a couple of rings to flatter my hands and further compliment the bracelets. Throwing on a pair of earrings (or a stack if you’ve got multiple holes) is also a fun way to accessorize, especially when rocking your hair up!
